International Academy – LEAP partner with neighbors

and community members to Paint the Pavement

What:              Students and staff members from International Academy – LEAP are helping to paint an intersection near the school. At the center of the design is artwork from Chai Xiong, a 16-year-old student at International Academy – LEAP. The project is made possible by grants and donations from the  Hamline Midway Coalition, Public Arts Saint Paul, and other community members.

Where:            Intersection of Blair Ave. and Albert St., near International Academy - LEAP

631 N. Albert St.

Saint Paul, MN  55104

When:             Saturday, September 22, 2007.

The project begins at 8 a.m.

Students arrive at noon and can paint until at least 3 p.m.

The project is expected to be finished by 6 p.m.

Why:               This is a great example of a neighborhood and community joining with their school to display the pride they have in each other and the value all partners bring to Saint Paul.
